I’m Yiqing Wang
As a UX designer, I’ve led end-to-end UX for complex expert systems, including AI-powered HR platforms and clinical research tools, as well as consumer-facing products such as e-commerce and social platforms. My work spans discovery through launch, with a focus on information architecture, workflow design, and building systems that scale beyond a single feature. I’m motivated by designing products that reduce cognitive load, respect users’ time, and avoid shortcuts that trade long-term trust for short-term metrics.
I bring a multidisciplinary, system-level perspective
My design background in landscape architecture equips me with strong design judgment, visual craft, research rigor, and communication skills that I apply daily in UX work. Having operated in complex, constraint-heavy environments, I naturally think in systems—how features connect, how decisions cascade, and how clarity is maintained as products grow. This perspective allows me to make clearer tradeoffs, anticipate downstream impact, and create design systems and documentation that scale with the product.
I help teams succeed through coordination and design leadership
I contribute by improving how teams operate and deliver. Through hands-on design leadership, I allocate work across designers, clarify ownership, and coordinate timelines to keep projects moving efficiently. Close partnership with PMs and engineers - across roadmaps, reviews, and QA - ensures design intent carries through implementation. This ensures design decisions remain coherent and extensible from early concept to shipped product.
